Fashion has become an expense that most people cannot afford to stay on top of these days. A single blouse can cost upwards of one hundred dollar’s or more. People simply cannot afford that right now. We are clipping coupons just to keep our favorite foods on the table. So in order to remain in fashion at a quarter of the price, we need to learn how to make our own fashionable clothing. This is no t anew concept, this is something we have been doing for centuries until this last century or so. We need to get back to basics if we want to continue being the neighborhood fashionista.
Take a sewing class at your local community college. This is a great way to get the basics down and a great way to meet new people who are also interested in fashion. After you are comfortable with a sewing machine, look for patterns to start with. Get used to making clothing with patterns first and then you can move on to designing your very own fashion trends.
So not only will your wallet thank you for not spending your entire paycheck on clothing, but you will be the only one wearing the outfit that you design an craft yourself.
