Jean Paul Gaultier is a well known name in the French fashion scene. He is known for his inspired ready to wear men’s fashion lines and has been creating great runway looks since he launched his own line in 1976. This year his Spring 2011 collection is a sight to behold and was as spectacular as the previous years.

One of the trademark elements of the Jean Paul Gaultier collections no matter what year it is, is the ability to incorporate ethnic styles into a modern day look. The Spring 2011 collection does exactly that and brings a bit of Arabic, Middle Eastern flare to it.

Here are some highlights of the Spring 2011 Jean Paul Gaultier menswear collection.

The Bare chested Model Look. A lot of the fashion pieces that Jean Paul Gaultier debuted on the runway included a lot of bare chested models. Each model wore a tunic or very low cut top that showed off those  just worked out abs and chest that the models have.

Middle Eastern Flare. Being inspired by a more ethnic style this year the Jean Paul Gaultier Spring 2011 menswear collection had a bit of the Middle Eastern flare to it. There were a lot of tunics, one piece outfits and flare pants that are famously worn throughout the Middle East.

The Tie No Shirt Look. It used to be that it was a shirt and tie affair. The Jean Paul Gaultier collection may have changed people’s opinions on that. Each look had a shirt no tie style that made each look stand out above the rest.

The final conclusion is that unless you are a celebrity you probably won’t be sporting any of these fashions. While they are ready to wear they just do not appear suitable for a fancy night out on the town or a dinner date, unless you are a punk rock star or a million dollar celebrity.
